The one I am most familiar with is the FASTRAN-PC product that
Nick Demos & Co. at Performance Software Group put together.
IIRC, with some limitations it supported writing Transact code and
running as FASTRAN programs on the PC.  To do this they had to
put together a package that emulated not only parts of MPE, but also
IMAGE.  Again IIRC, the MPE and IMAGE emulations could be run
separately from Transact.

Don't think there ever ended up being a huge demand for it, but I
think it might still be available.  Contact Nick Demos for more info;
