I received this warning from my son, who is a vice-president at
MasterCard International:

<<
I checked the GroupShield logs (GroupShield guards the E-Mail gateways),
and this file was cleaned on the way in to MasterCard. It contained the
W32/Magistr.A computer worm. In cases where the software can disinfect an
E-Mail it does so, and then it forwards what's left to the intended
recipient. The reason it does this is so that in cases where there is
useful information (like a Word Document), the user still gets what he was
supposed to. In the case of Magistr, the whole thing is useless and can be
deleted.

Even though the attached file is no longer infectious, you can't be sure
what it will do. We have had a case of a few machines being rendered
unbootable when the user launched the attachment. I recommend delete and
forget.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
