HP3000ers,
 
Anybody have any experience with turning on the pre-fetching found in turbo
image??? This can be turned on via DBUTIL.PUB.SYS and is different than the
normal pre-fetching that occurs on the system level.  I understand that this
allows larger quantities of data to be retrieved from the database.  Someone
I am working with turned it on and noticed that, altough performance did not
increase it seemed to become more even. They didn't see as many extremes in
response time.  They did see more pause for disk.  Anybody else have
experiences to share with this???
