I wasn't aware that S/33s had a temperature sensor. I know that the little
S/37s do. The PA-RISC machines SHOULD have them but I don't recall ever
knowing this one way or another. It's a good thing to build into the
hardware along with the OS smarts to read the temperature sensor and do
something if the reading is too high (or too low?).
FYI: Flaky temperature sensors can cause flaky readings resulting in LOTS of
false console messages. When we had this in the past I think that a thorough
cleaning out of dust inside the CPU enclosure cured this. It wasn't the CPU
chip/board that was too hot, just a dust covered sensor.
