I renewed support in 12/99 for a single C2490AM (LDEV-1) installed in my
917/LX.
The contract seems to require that a boot device be included in order to be
eligible
for contract maintenance. I dropped support for the various other drives,
since
it's cheaper to buy a spare/replacement on the open market (E'bay, etc.).
Perhaps
HP won't renew this coming December (?), although I haven't seen any notice
of
support being discontinued for anything in the box. The 9X7s are supposed
to be
supported through 2002 (I think), but with what kind of discs ???
