We upgraded to 6.0 sometime ago The maintenance side of Jobresque has changed,
as follows:
1. The OPTIONS.JPAK file has been replaced by the CONFIGIX.JPAK program,
all changes are dynamic, no more having to reload the OPTIONS file.
2. Spoolfile examination is more efficient, also allowing numerous spoolfiles
to
be examined at the same time. Although this could mean a possibility of
Jobrsq examing hundreds at once, which Nobix are currently addressing.
3. No more of those dreaded log file groups, now replaced with a single G001
(i think) group.
We found a number of problems and bugs initially with the early 6.0 versions,
nearly all of these have now been sorted. Only very minor problems remain.
The user interface has also changed, the report print screen options, although
these are easier to under stand and are also saved for the next time each
particular report type is opened. A number of other changes also occured which
I cant remember, however our users soon got used to them and are now working
okay.
If anyone has any questions regarding the working of Jobrsq I would be willing
to help answer them.
