Just because the pipes are fast doesnt' mean the disks on each end are
as fast!!!. Don't think you can write to the va7100 as fast as the fiber
path can transfer data. Also the XP has fiber controllers in the box
that can only do some many bytes per second per controller..I've
forgotton specifics but the 1GB fiber path is probably not the slowest
component on the path.
