If this was an install....you do NOT want to restore anything (at least in
bulk) into the SYS account from your 5.5 system! (and yes, donna remembers
that she has said that you can put stuff of your own into sys. just do it
in a way (like into your own group(s)) so that your stuff stays separate
from OS stuff).
If this was an update...then you have to do the update in (at least?) two
passes. You have to update to 6.5(?) before doing a second update to 7.5.
