We have recently experienced numerous socket errors and I located a
discussion on this in a search of the3000-l archives.
Brenda Peckham of  talked about raising the TCP connections to 512 on a 949
with 150 users.  Ours is set at 128 with 90 users on a 968, so I want to
raise that.

I have made the change in NMMGR, but how do you activate these changes on
the system?  I forget what services have to be shutdown and restarted, and
the documentation (or my brain) seems particularly fuzzy today.
