Denys, as you ell know, not every illegal act is prosecuted. A
little
fuzzy here, but I believe the law goes as follows:
1. A box marked "US MAIL" is for USPS mail ONLY. It is against
the law
for anyone to place non-USPS mail in it.
2. The USPS has a monopoly on first class mail (correspondence,
unless
sent by courier (this is where FDEX, etc. come in).
3. The law does not apply to packages.
4. Of course the law is out of date and currently unrealistic,
as are many
other laws.
