If your PC is running RemSH compatible service (which is not installed
by default, as far as I understand), you can use REMSH.NET.SYS from the
3000 side. It's mainly for interfacing Unix based systems, but I recall
that HP3000-L members have also used it with Windows.
Details on REMSH.NET.SYS should be in one of the MPE manuals, eg at
the docs.hp.com web site or probably in the HP3000-L archives (using
keyword search).
If you're willing to use Java (on MPE and Windows), I could also dig up
a pair of small socket programs that I once wrote to send a file to the
PC, have it processed by a .BAT file and return it back to the 3000. It
could probably be tweaked for your needs. The client and server sources
are not very large, maybe something like one printed page each.
Lars.
