Wouldn't it be nice to have MPE sitting atop this platform with Image
intrinsics rewritten to access Oracle DB?

On the other hand, maybe the best RAD is simply writing macros/procedures in
OpenOffice:

Seems to be a safe, easy, and robust platform and environment to solve BI
problems on.  Most users could create reports and simple data
entry/maintenance screens based on queries provided to them by IT staff, and
it would be integrated into their office suite.
