Just FYI, you can use the :PURGELINK command in the CI to perform the same
function as the shell's rm command.  It's not a big deal, but it prevents you
from having to run the shell if that's the only command that you want to
execute there.
 
If I could add my two cents (how does this phrase translate in other
countries?), I'd like to see both topics discussed on this list.  My personal
belief is that the more I know about all different kinds of things, the more
effective I'll be in doing my current job.  Whether or not POSIX or UNIX
affects me directly, learning about it may open my eyes to more effective
ways of solving problems with MPE, or the other way around.
 
Not only would discussion on UNIX issues be interesting in itself, it would
also help to clearly delineate the strengths and weaknesses of each system.
I'm confident that this type of real life information could be helpful in
understanding some of the hidden costs of owning and maintaining different
systems.
