o.k. so I tried re-installing after first doing rm -rf
/usr/local/java/jdk1.2. Now I get the following errors:
 x /usr/local/java/jdk1.2/bin/java symbolic link to
PA-RISC/green_threads/java
 TAR.HPBIN.SYS: /usr/local/java/jdk1.2/bin/java: cannot set mode: No such
file o
r directory
 x /usr/local/java/jdk1.2/bin/java-rmi.cgi, 2087 bytes, 5 tape blocks
 x /usr/local/java/jdk1.2/bin/java_g symbolic link to .java_wrapper
 x /usr/local/java/jdk1.2/bin/javac symbolic link to
PA-RISC/green_threads/javac

 TAR.HPBIN.SYS: /usr/local/java/jdk1.2/bin/javac: cannot set mode: No such
file
or directory

Also now if you type java -help you get the following:
-help is an invalid option or argument.
Usage: javac <options> <source files>

where <options> includes:
<<<<<<< javac.properties

Samething when you type javac -help, you get the following:
-help is an invalid option or argument.
Usage: javac <options> <source files>

where <options> includes:
<<<<<<< javac.properties
