Hello All

We have a LPQ 1200 printer, model C3205B which is not working properly when
networked with our HP957 and HP987, both on 6.0 pp7. When it's attached to
our 987 via serial connection and DTC, the printer works fine.

When a spool file sent to the printer (set to bitronics) via the network,
using a JetDirect interface (also set to bitronics ), the only thing that
prints is the banner page. On the console there's a message indicating a
power supply problem or error 64 from ipcrecv. I know we don't have a power
supply problem; not sure about the ipcrev error.

I've searched the archives and talked to the folks at HP several times. HP
says I should upgrade the flash memory and DRAM to 4MB each (currently at 1
and 2 MBs, respectively), then have the firmware (function code) upgraded.
This sounds like a field upgrade to a C3205C. But the upgrade seems to be
necessary if page level recovery (PLR) is desired; I don't know if it will
fix the problems we're having.

When working with HP, we also tested the JetDirect connection to the
printer, and it work properly. We're able to ping the JetDirect box and
SNMPGET sees the box as well.

Any help would be appreciated.
