Glenn - Thanks for your support, we're glad you like the flyer. In answer
to your questions:
We really just developed this as an awareness piece with no plans for a mass
mailing. Through a variety of avenues (including internal emails,
distribution via our distributor, our website and our partner website) we've
gotten the word out that the documents is available on request. At this
time we don't specific plans for a followup brochure but we are always
developing new brochures and information sheets. As for your last question,
unforunately that was an oversight :(.

Subject: Re: [HP3000-L] Hewlett-Packard Talks about the HP 3000

Colleen,

You posted a message on the HP3000-L list this afternoon in reaction to some
of the negative comments made regarding the flyer / brochure that was put
together touting what the HP executives had to say about the e3000. Prior
to this, I haven't yet had a chance to weigh in on the flyer nor the
comments.

Let me say that I for one am extremely excited to see what has been
produced. It is good for the 3000 to get the press. I didn't read it a
unenthusiastic or reluctant at all. I also don't agree with the comments
from list members that the flyer text was condescending. Rather, I wish to
thank HP for this effort.

However, I do have some questions regarding the brochure. Where and when do
you envision HP using this piece. Personally, I think it would make great
"insert" material in a variety of publications. I would also like to know
if there are any "follow-up" brochures / datasheets that will be
accompanying this document. Finally, if a prospective user does come across
this somewhere, I notice that there is not even a reference to how to
contact HP. Was that simply an oversight?

Again, thank you for the great effort. It is a welcome start. Please let
us know how we, as a user community, can be of further service to you as we
jointly spread the good news of the e3000 and MPE/iX platform.
