We saw the following significant error in our job to startup the Oracle
database. Could we have tested within the job to detect this error? Perhaps
testing a JCW? Failing that, there is always parsing output for a given
value that indicates all is well, but I have no idea what command to
redirect or what string to grep for.

 Oracle7 Server Release 7.2.3.0.0 - Production Release
 With the distributed, replication and parallel query options
 PL/SQL Release 2.2.3.0.0 - Production
