that would be a solution but with 21 schools I would rather control it centrally.
concerning the script I have created on now with the CPAU tool that does what you mention.
I created a script that would allow our domain tech group to be added to the local administrators group on the local computer. That way our tech group folks can make local changes and not need the domain admin password. It looks like it will work out fine for us.

it's a freeware tool.
This will work for the tech support group but not sure it will work for our other employees.
