My turn........

I have been doing this (like most of you) long enough to know that MS is full of it
when they say that IE is tightly integrated with Win95. What they fail to realize
is, or should I say what they are targeting is every day end users who have no
clue.

A recent article in PCWorld
http://www.pcworld.com/news/daily/data/1297/971223171221.html
states that "Microsoft's overall argument that users want Web-browsing capability
built into the operating system and therefore the Justice Department's actions may
harm consumers."

Bull!!

I am completely happy with Netscape as my browser and after hearing of numerous
horror
stories regarding IE, will not change for a long time. I was hesitant to switch
from 3.1 to 95, and waited until MS could prove to me that it was a worthwhile
investment, both in my time and my money.

The last thing I want is someone telling me what I "want" my desktop to look like.

But I regress. I like the look and feel of DOS. I boot to DOS. I still find myself
using the DOS prompt for some things just to keep that warm fuzzy feeling of
knowing that is the "REAL" brains behind my machine.

To put it all in perspective, they too (MS) will become another IBM and become too
"big for their britches".

OK. I feel a little better. And too all, a good night. Happy Holidays.
