It is not about the annual salary but about all the other bonuses and stock-
options.
Seems the CEO's "forget" about all the other nice things and toys they get.
But they like to keep these in the dak. Specially from the "little/small"
share-holders.
Much like German politicians. Don't know abotu other countries.

Just my own opinion.
