IBM LICENSES APPLE MAC/OS
IBM has worked out an agreement to license Apple Computer's Macintosh
operating system, and although it doesn't plan to manufacture Mac clones
itself, IBM will be allowed to sublicense the system to other computer
makers and will be able to offer hardware components, such as the PowerPC
chip and motherboards, to other clone manufacturers...  (Investor's Business
