This machine was carefully configured to be an exact duplicate of the
production 918LX saving only the HPSUSAN. All the peripherals are the
same make, model, and have the same SCSI addresses as the primary
system. This unit was originally installed off-site at our remote
Internet point-of-presence. At some point it went offline and I
removed it to my office for diagnosis and repair, where for want of
time and energy, it has sat untended until today.
I will be in the office tomorrow and then will see what search tells
me. It is entirely possible that the system disc got fried somehow.
The DDS unit certainly did. Fortunately I have spares.
