This is strictly based on the customs or laws of China.

It's always best to learn the lessons history has to offer each generation.
If only each generation would pay attention to the lessons their fathers
have to teach them then history wouldn't repeat itself.

In most states parents are liable for the actions of their under age
children.  Children are not held accountable for the actions of their
parents, unless you're dealing with the I.R.S.  :-)  imho

You may think you're not, but you could be...

There are some Imperial flagstones set in a walkway
or courtyard in China made hundreds of years ago.  Each
flagstone is set with the family name of the person who
made the flagstone.

The rule was, if the flagstone should crack or break,
even hundreds of years later, the whole family would
be executed.

The Chinese version of Quality Control.
