Hi All,
It's a little difficult to tell what people are referring to here, but, I'll give you a bit of background ...

Speedware introduced AMXW (Automated Migration to UniX and Windows) around 2003.
This is a run-time version of MPE, able to parse CI code. A large list of intrinsic calls are supported.
Code conversion of COBOL and FORTRAN etc. was also required.

The AMXW tool is able to convert HP COBOL to various flavours of COBOL, Micro-focus, for example.

V/PLUS calls and functionality is generally handled through Alan Yeo's Screenjet tool.

IMAGE DB generally went to Eloquence, as its plug-comparability with Turbo Image made conversions much simpler.
Some customers went to DB2 and some went to MS-SQL.

AcuCOBOL conversions were also performed, but MF bought AcuCOBOL and quickly retired most of its functionality.

Some PowerHouse conversions were also done to various platforms. Sometimes the MPEisms were handled by AMXW, and in some cases the MPEisms were re-written for the target platform. Porting PowerHouse from MPE to other platforms is still ongoing.

Speedware changed its name to Fresshe Legacy a few years back, and again recently to Frecshe Solutions.
We still have customers running AMXW on their live production systems.
(The plan for most customers is to run their systems with AMXW for several years while a re-write occurs, but we do love our MPE! So hard to break up with it :) )

If you'd like more information, please don't hesitate to call us or e-mail.
We can provide references, too.

'Speedware' :) Oops I mean Fresshe Legacy
