Well, let's see --- Since Hoover, have we ever had a
Republican president with any smarts?  And look what
his brains did for us.  Well Eisenhower was smart,
yes, but he waa a caretaker so we didn't suffer too
badly.
Deregulation of power, by the way, came to
Californians thanks to our last (Republican) state
administration.

No, we can't blame the downturn on Bush, even though
he seems to have been a bit negative in
pronouncements, but to imply that the economy would
have rocketed under dubya's pop is a stretch.
