Posix came "halfway" in 4.5, which was never a "push" release. Posix
got about 80% with 5.0 and hasn't gotten much better since :-)

And someone else mentioned MPE-V/E. There were several variations of
the MPE/V version:

* MPE-V/P had disc cacheing but no CSTX enhanced firmware
* MPE-V/E had disc cacheing plus the CSTX enhancements (board swap)
* MPE-V/R was eventually released as the "parked" release for the
Series II/III machines. V/E and V/P were never available for these
machines (although a little birdie told me cacheing was developed
   on a Series III).
---------------------------------------------------------------------
MPE-V/R was also available on series 30 and 33. However I saw a series
30 at an Interex conference in the mid-80s where the vendor had MPE-V/P
loaded on it. You couldn't use the normal method of installing the
release from MPE IV, he had to do a reload to get it on his machine.
