For the record, several already exist in the CSL to do this
already. You are correct on the programmatic interface. Any
enhancement should include: intrinsic access (AIFs perhaps);
FINFO (command line), and an MPE command. This should be
for all intrinsics, like FOPEN, FREAD, FWRITE, etc. Just
my opinion, of course.
