I was at an HP Microsoft seminar today.  The spokesman from HP said that HP is fading out PA-RISC technology in favor of the new IA-64 chip.  The goal is to run NT, HP-UX (MPE/iX I guess, but not mentioned) on one chip running at 1+ gigaHertz.  HP *will* have their hardware in small shops, but it may be running NT.
