Generally, use "usr/bin".
"/bin" is (on a real unix box) reserved only for programs required to
run single-user mode and before the system mounts additional drives. On
an MPE box, this is like what must be on LDEV 1.
However, like Steve's machine, you might prefer to put your own work (i.e.
your own links) into another directory like "/usr/local/bin". Be sure it
is on the default path. This will keep clear what you have done and what
came from HP (i.e. this approach will prevent what happened to many of us
[before we learned better] when we put everything into .pub.sys).
