Sr. Project Manager with INVESTMENTS Industry Experience

Job Description:
This individual will be responsible for managing the work on two
efforts: the pricing system migration off of the HP3000, and the
Enterprise Report migration off of the HP3000.
For the pricing system migration, the Project Manager&#8217;s role
will be to manage all aspects of new system development/delivery,
including management of a dedicated consultant analyst through all
SDLC phases. This is a very large project that requires strong client
service, development management, and conflict resolution skills as
well.
For the Enterprise Report migration, the Project Manager&#8217;s role
will be to perform both manager and analyst responsibilities in the
effort: determine report inventory, perform gap analysis, work with
our off-shore consultant developers in construction of the new
reports, test, and deploy.

Daily Activities:
Working with the business, development, and systems analyst staff
(both permanent and consulting) to analyze, specify and implement a
new Pricing system and new Enterprise Reports (in effort to migrate
both off of the HP3000).
Responsible for all aspects of project management including
communication of project direction and scope, generation/review of
project documents (e.g. requirements, functional spec, design),
generation and maintenance of project plan, status reporting, issue
escalation/resolution, client expectation management, vendor
management, and project delivery within time/budget constraints.


Requirements:
1. Demonstrated experience in business analysis, requirements
specification, user acceptance testing of systems in the investment
industry, and FORMAL METHODOLOGY experience - REQUIRED 5 years;
2. Project management experience - Required 5 years;
3. Experience with MSProject - Required 3 years;
4. Client services experience - Required 5 years;
5. Development or development management experience - Required 5
years;

6. Use case or UML experience - Desirable;
7. SQL programming and relational database experience - Desirable;
8. Lastly, familiarity with HP3000 applications is Desirable.

9. A bachelor&#8217;s degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in
the investment industry are required.

10. It would be helpful for the candidate to have a background in
investments management (or at least financial services) and/or IA
systems (especially exposure to company/security master, pricing,
corporate actions, quality ratings, Bloomberg).

11. Candidates who have worked in a LARGE PMO managing various
application development and/or legacy system migration projects are
HIGHLY desirable.
