The HP print server solution looks much easier and cheaper than I originally
stated. I recommended the JetDirect EX Plus Print Server. Unfortunately, that
model of print server only works with Ethernet. But that's not true of the
newer JetDirect EX Plus3 print servers. One of the available models in this
series is Token Ring compatible -- and thus should make Rodolfo's solution
relatively simple and quite inexpensive (and he could have up to 3 parallel
printers running off of the same small print server box). The better URL for
the same (but newer) product line is:
http://hpcc920.external.hp.com/rnd/products/jetdir/jdexpls3/jdexpls3.htm
My apologies having to repost this corrected information.
