Hey Chuck,
I noticed that the slash in the string that you entered was enclosed by
spaces.
I don't have a problem when I enter a string with a slash bracketed by
spaces:
"A<space>/<space>B".
I _do_ have a problem when the slash is stuck in there right up against the
adjacent characters (pay no mind to the very technical lingo):
"A/B", though.
