We us the logon udc below to capture logon and off (if done properly), and can examine later....
CONTINUE
BUILD ULOGFILE;REC=-128,,F,ASCII;DISC=100000,32,1
CONTINUE
IF "!HPDUPLICATIVE"="TRUE" THEN
SETVAR HPTYPEAHEAD FALSE
continue
setvar log "!hpdatetime#!hpuser.!HPACCOUNT,!HPGROUP#!hpconnmins#"
setvar log "!log!HPSTDIN_NETWORK_NODE#!HPSTDIN_NETWORK_ADDR#!HPLDEVIN#"
SETVAR LOG "!LOG!HPDATEF#Login"
FILE ULOGFILE,OLD
ECHO !LOG >>*ULOGFILE
run control.pub
IF NOT BOUND(HPSTDIN_NETWORK_NODE)
SETVAR HPSTDIN_NETWORK_NODE "SERIAL"
SETVAR HPSTDIN_NETWORK_ADDR "SERIAL"
ENDIF
setvar log "!hpdatetime#!hpuser.!HPACCOUNT,!HPGROUP#!hpconnmins#"
setvar log "!log!HPSTDIN_NETWORK_NODE#!HPSTDIN_NETWORK_ADDR#!HPLDEVIN#"
(24/31) Continue?
SETVAR LOG "!LOG!HPDATEF#Logout"
FILE ULOGFILE,OLD
ECHO !LOG >>*ULOGFILE
IF JCW1 <> 99 THEN
BYE

Output looks like....note lines are folded. We can tell if login is local in house, remote office, vpn etc from IP, and see name of PC used. This is a logon nobreak udc which runs a menu program, and logs off on program end.
