You might take a look at QCTerm. The intention is for it to ultimately be
fully competitive with Reflection although it will never carry any cost. It is
freeware, a gift to the HP3000 community. The URL to download QCTerm is

The version that is currently downloadable does not support block mode.
However a new version is anticipated to be released on March 9 that will fully
support block mode. We may be just a few days late on that, but it is
imminent. Telnet is fully supported (although a little more elegantly in the
version to come). NS/VT is not supported (in fact, due to the improvements
that HP is making to Telnet, we may never actually support NS/VT now. We're
still debating that decision).
