We recently upgraded our 947LX to 5.0 push. Now we're preparing to
migrate our existing serial-connected people to VT access through the
Ethernet.
As an initial test, I logged on multiple times from a PC (running WIN92
over Trumpet Winsock). The first five sessions work fine. But when I
attempt to log on additional sessions, previous sessions are logged off.
Yes, I checked and we're nowhere near our session limit on MPE.
No, we don't have any access to the system other than traditional
sessions and jobs...and the VT sessions mentioned here.
No, the Ethernet line is not congested. We can tell visually that we are
well under 10% saturation.
Question: Is there some limitation in MPE?
Is it a Winsock limitation? If so, that's fine. We have no
intention of running more than, say, two HP sessions per
PC.
Thanks always for the useful words from this group.
