        I have a HP Netserver "LC" 486 EISA DX4-100 Mhz PC. I need to
     replace the 1 Gig hard drive with a new or refurbished drive. I want a
     drive that is in the 2-4 Gig range. On the mother board is an Adaptec
     2740 controller that supports SCSI-II.

        Any non-HP solutions out there that work? In PC Today magazine I
     found:

     VENDOR    #MEGS MODEL#    msec    PRICE   Meg/sec
     =======   ===== ======    ====    =====   =======
     Seagate   2.1   32151N     7.0     $469.
     Quantum   2.16  FB2.1S    10.0     $399.
     Quantum   3.26  FB3.2S     9.0     $499.

     HP's prices were as follows:

     VENDOR        #MEGS MODEL#    msec  PRICE   Meg/sec
     =======       ===== ======    ====  =====   =======
     HP Surestore   2.x  D2077A    10.4   $819.  10
     HP Surestore   4.x  D4956A     8.5  1,300.  40 (SCSI-II F/WIDE ULTRA)

        I am looking for a refurbished motherboard replacement also(a new
     HP Pentium 133 motherboard, HP part #D3601A, was $1,629).

        Any help with the above, would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
