i notice that the number of input buffers has increased. hopefully this
will correct the problem. while we are waiting for the next events to
happen that filled the buffer every Sunday morning. i am trying to get
patchman working on this 918lx with a old version of the OS (6.0). i find
that there is a nst patch that may help some things. so i install patchman
and attempt to download some NST patches. however i find that patchman
can not connect to the ftp.iirc.hp.com ftp site. in reading about some
NST patches i find that patchNSTGDK3A may help. so i down load this to my
PC and transfer bin to the system to be patched. now to unpack the patch.
 i do not seem to get unpackp to function. perhaps since this has worked
so well within the patchman script i have done little with unpackp. so
the question is how to unpackp the patch? what command syntax. here is
what i have tried

$ UNPACKP NSTGDK3A
UNPACKP 1: PARM: not found
UNPACKP 2: comment: not found
UNPACKP 3: comment: not found
UNPACKP 4: comment: not found
UNPACKP 5: comment: not found
UNPACKP 6: syntax error: got (, expecting Newline

$ UNPACKP NSTGDK3A PATCHIX
UNPACKP 1: PARM: not found
UNPACKP 2: comment: not found
UNPACKP 3: comment: not found
UNPACKP 4: comment: not found
UNPACKP 5: comment: not found
UNPACKP 6: syntax error: got (, expecting Newline

any advise would be helpful.
