The HP network print solution will only be supporting HP printers on
the HP JetDirect interface card. It will *NOT* support LPD/LPR.

To address the question of investment in 3rd party printing solutions,
I can only say that our solution (ESPUL-PRINTPATH) is a pretty
inexpensive way to get support for practically every interface &
printer, LPD/LPR (UNIX, NT, WINDOWS, IBM, VAX, APPLE, BANYAN &
etc) bidirectional printing with other hosts, 2/4-up printing,
programmable banners, e-mail support, fax support and FOUR years of
experience with this technology.
