Yes, SAP has run Sybase.  However, I was being specific to my site!  We
have been running
under ORACLE since our introduction into SAP, in 1996 on HP-UX.  Our
ORACLE dba's have
spent a lot of time and energy developing tools and scripts, and spent a
lot of money on third
party licenses.   I would hate to have them go through that again.
