Earlier today Denys commiscerated:

> group, has agreed to meet at your event. Sadly

Now Denys, don't be sad...: Think of it as having lunch
in a better place. :-) ... anyway: Thank you. This
year is clearly a "special case" for MPE users; I think
it is prudent to get community together as early as we can
at HPW; to make sure that as much as possible we have OUR
collective act together.

While we on the meeting, note that so far I have only
gotten a couple handfulls of "yes" messages for lunch
("SIGIMAGE LUNCH" in the title (without quotes) ). I'm
quite confident that we will get many more people than
that for the second hour, but...: Interex is apparently
getting soaked an outrageous amount for box lunches by
the LACC concessionaire; $20 or even $25 for a sandwich
or whatever they are going to feed us. Trying my best
to put all factors into the blender this year, I took a
wild guess and told Interex to plan for 80 lunches for
the SIGImage/SQL meeting (really for the "MPE and IMAGE
users open forum" second hour which will start at high
noon which is when we get lunch). As per previous, the
LACC "food court" is just around the corner and down the
stairs so nobody should starve, but: If I don't get some
more "Yes" messages for lunch I will be hard put to
continue to press Interex to lay out $2000 for box
lunches for our meeting.

SUMMARY: If you are planning on attending SIGImage/SQL -
"MPE and IMAGE users forum" at 12:00 Wed at HPW, if you
want a box lunch and have not said same: Please do so
now... Otherwise you may have to go down to the food
court and stock up on your own nickel before the meeting.
