What do you consider a "ridiculously long time", 500 million years is a
drop in
the bucket.

As for the gravity, remember Black holes also evaporate.  i.e. Radiation
leaks
out.

I don't think I can put my finger on the exact value I would consider
a "ridiculously long time", but 500 million years is not it.  Our earth
has been around for an estimated 5 billion years, so that is not it
either.  Wirt has used 1Gyr as an example, that might be a "ridiculously
long time", I did not want to get real mathematically technical.  How
about the Half Life of Bismuth?
