I fully agree with Duane and that's why Adager went for the Computerworld
ad :-)

This assumes that the HP3000 community has the same amounts of money to
burn as Oracle & Co. -- With the modest prices that the HP3000 extracts
out of its loyal customers, such is not the case :-)
Besides, HP3000-L folks, in particular, plow back the money they save into,
precisely, running their business enterprises.
The press is always hungry for *successful* business-critical, worry-free
computing (precisely because there are such precious few, and those under
non-HP3000 platforms at a very high price). So, the esteemed members of
HP3000-L can certainly contribute something that cannot be bought with
money: Success stories!
Years ago, I wrote a paper called "ABC" or something like that. Its tenets:
A) Annotate (HP3000 success stories and non-HP3000 horror stories).
B) Broadcast such stories to the widest possible audiences.
C) Cooperate with SIGIMAGE (for instance -- choose your own).

Mine too. But also imagine people learning (via several channels, no pun
intended) about the success of running HP3000s -- *reading* at home (via
People Magazine, etc.) and at work (via Computerworld, etc.), *hearing* it
on the radio (via NPR) as they drive past those sun/oracle/informix/etc
billboards, and *watching* Larry King & Co. wax poetic on TV about the
whole thing :-)
