Hi Tracy,

1) config a ldev
ioconfig
ad ldev=123 path=NONE id=HPTCPJD CLASS=LP

2) configurate your printer
TCP-Setup
TCP/IP-No. = 192.134.145.156

3) create the configuration file NPCONFIG.PUB.SYS
editor
add
123             (network_address = 192.134.145.156 &
                setup_file = hpljconf.pub.sys)
//
k npconfig.pub.sys,unn

Now you can access your network printer ( 192.134.145.156 ) using the
ldev number 123.
hpljconf.pub.sys is a text file containing Escape sequences to initialize your printer.

Wish I had saved the threads on how do you set up Network Printers with
the Jet Direct card...

I got an LJ4si with a JetDirect card on the LAN and and HP3000 with MPE/iX
5.5 ... where do I start?
