I don't usually catch new-speak in progress, but the term "Shadow
Government" is being re-defined in the press today. It used to mean an
illegal and covert combination of powers guiding our governments and
managing our lives behind the scenes.

The new meaning of "Shadow Government" will be the Continuity of Government
protocols that are actually a part of our federal Executive branch.

So, in the future, when the conspiracy theorists again start wagging about
the Bilderbergers or World Government or the New World Order, FEMA, etc.,
etc., the public will think, "Well, where is the foul aroma? Shadow
Government is necessary, and it's not a threat." If any real shadow
government is exposed, then the public reaction will not be so paranoid and
negative.
