Terminal type files are incorporated "by reference," so what you're seeing
in the spoolfile is correct. The actual contents of the TT file are caused
to be read by the output side of the spooler, rather than being read by the
input side. They also work only with serial printers.
TT files are "cached" on MPE/V systems meaning that if you change a TT file
that's already in use, you won't see the effect until the next system
restart. You can get around this by creating a new TT file instead of
modifying an existing one. What kind of system are you running on?
