Yes, the FL drives are bootable w/ 6.0. The real issue is bootable SCSI on
that box.  That was one
of the last things I fixed before decommissioning it.  Only one of the CAs
(Channel Adapters)
is capable of booting SCSI. I don't remember which one off hand. I can't
answer the one about support.
As far as DDS-2  -vs-  DDS-3, I have heard some bad rumors about
reliability. I think there
were some fairly good threads on this list concerning that subject awhile
back.
