Our European offices in Hamburg, Germany (remember the pictures?) has
ordered a 918DX. Delivery is slated for week after next. If you have
difficulty getting information about the 918DX in Europe, might I suggest
you call Horst Kanert (Lord, I hope I spelt that right!) in Boeblingen,
Germany at 0 (7031) 140. That is the main number of HP in Bubble Gum. By
the way, Horst is one of the most avid proponents of the HP 3000 anywhere,
and a real gentleman.

Kind regards,

Denys. . .

There does seem to be some confusion about the 3000-918/DX in Europe.
I've been trying to get a formal quotation since November 1997 and am
still waiting. There have been all sorts of issues (so I'm told) about
"obtaining the relevant discount approvals" but I should expect a
quotation "early next week" (Could this be delivered by flying pigs?)

While I understand that Adrian den Hartog still looks after this program
in Europe, he is in the States for a few months and I believe Michael
Robinson is in control on a day-to-day basis. Another name I have been
given as having some input to all this is Martin O'Murphy

I don't know what the hold up is but it's not creating a good impression
with my management!
