The PP4 tape contains all the patches on the PP3 tape. Powerpatches are
cumulative. What you do not say is how you got to PP4. What I refer to below
is the customized PROD/SUBSYS tape distributed with Express-3. A
non-technical but logical way of looking at the question whether you need to
apply the Express-3 PROD/SUBSYS tape would be this: If it were not
necessary, why would HP go to the trouble and expense of distributing it as
part of Express-3? I have four machines. I got four different Express-3
PROD/SUBSYS tapes. And four identical PP3 tapes.

When I get a chance, I'll try to determine exactly what is on an Express
PROD/SUBSYS tape. And whether it really is necessary. Perhaps someone from
HP could jump in here and comment?

We are on 5.5 pp4 but never installed Express 3. I called the HPRC and was
told
that as long as we don't have TurboStore we don't need to install Express 3,
pp
4 has everything we need. Is this not correct?
