Sorry, I missed the fact about the master dataset.

How about this; have you checked the db-status after the dblock call. Maybe
you've already locked and failed to unlock from a previous transaction and
the dblock call actually failed?

About not have the book is no excuse, remember www.doc.hp.com? The
TurboImage manual is online.

Uh, I don't have the manual here in front of me (I'm home right now),
but isn't that just for MASTER data sets?  I'm having trouble with
a DETAIL set.

But, I'll look it up when I get back to work.
