I'll try all the ideas of those who responded to my erroneous 17 return to
my DBGET. However this morning I got something very un-HP like - the 3rd
failure of our 7937 Eagle drive in a year. In the last year this unit, under
HP maintenance, has had 2 "rebuilt" drive assemblies and one controller last
week. HP must not be rebuilding these things very well.

Now I'm getting sparing errors yet again.

I think this thing knows it will be replaced in a couple of weeks by a (new
to us) 917 and is going out kicking and screaming. It has given us more
trouble in the last year - than it has in the previous 15 years.

Had a power failure knock out the CPU 2-3 weeks ago - then the controller,
now the disk again.

Bill
